Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Patel graduated summa cum laude from Valdosta State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology with honors as well as a minor in chemistry. During his undergraduate years, he was actively involved in research and received several awards recognizing his academic achievements.
He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Meharry Medical College, where he graduated as Salutatorian of his class. At Meharry, he was honored with multiple awards for clinical excellence and academic performance. He also remained deeply involved in community service – something that continues to shape his approach to patient care today.
Following dental school, Dr. Patel completed a competitive internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He then completed a comprehensive residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. There, he received advanced training in full-scope surgical care including wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, facial trauma, benign pathology, corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, and complex deep neck infections.
Dr. Patel has a special interest in full mouth implant rehabilitation to help restore patients’ smiles, confidence, and quality of life. He is also passionate about bone augmentation procedures, managing facial trauma, jaw surgery, oral pathology, and life-threatening oral and neck infections.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Patel is an Assistant Professor at the Dental College of Georgia, where he enjoys mentoring residents and teaching topics such as anesthesia, dental implants, and advanced surgical procedures. He is also holds hospital privileges at Wellstar MCG Health.
Outside the office, Dr. Patel enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his wife, sone, and extended family. He also loves the outdoors and can often be found hiking, biking, or kayaking on the weekends. And as a proud Georgia Bulldogs fan, he never misses a game!
Dr. Patel is honored to serve the CSRA community and is excited to work closely with patients and referring providers to deliver exceptional surgical care in a comfortable, supportive environment.
